I was also wondering if there was a way to sync up the characters you log into from the game with the extension instead of manually going through the twitch settings for the extension itself each time you change to a different character. If the extension were to be hidden until moused over you could place it further away from the top and bottom of the stream to pull up the menu. This is a great extension! Keep up the great work! There is an issue where I am not able to click on the overlay while in fullscreen due to the twitch overlay covering it up. The Twitch WoWHead addon will use this file instead of the Blizzard's API Comment by Kintaric on T16:05:10-05:00
LIVENOW TWITCH UPDATE
Theoretically, you can make an addon for WoW which will make a SavedVariables file that contain the character talent/gear/etc, and if you made a change in-game you can simply /reload to update this file. > I open a with Notepad++, it contain all my fight records on this character \World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\ \ \ \SavedVariablesĪt first a contain my fight records The saved data is contained inside a which located at Like right now for example, Details addon So you made a separate addon for WoW which save the data of the player's talent / gear / etc, and it'll updated automatically when you made a change in game by simply /reload in-game. I wonder if it's possible instead of taking the data from Blizzard's API, you take the data from our WTF folder Saved Variables. For a single PoV though, this sounds like an outstanding extension to have available thanks! Comment by FakeGodz on T14:56:44-05:00 I'm guessing it doesn't show PvP talents since Blizz site doesn't either?Ĭorrect, that's a limitation from Blizzard's API Comment by Xanaduzu on T12:14:20-05:00Īlmost makes one wonder if Blizzard would be willing to find a way to let viewers see some form of this extension during the MDI, but with up to 10 runners being shown on screen at a time (PLUS it's on tournament realms instead of live servers) I don't see how it'd be feasible. Super awesome, especially for people that stream the Mage Tower challenges! Nice and easy to see what talents/gear that person is using. Great job anyways! Comment by ch4ndy on T11:26:10-05:00 Looking good! I really hope my favourite streamers will use it! It's so handy.Īnd following the firsts comments it would amazing if it worked on ptr and alpha/beta versions in the future. Could pvp talents be added to this? Some of the popular wow streams are pvp streams and it would be nice to see what pvp talents these players are using. This looks pretty cool and I hope a lot of the wow streamers start using it. I'm guessing it doesn't show PvP talents since Blizz site doesn't either? Comment by Epsynus on T10:38:31-05:00Īwesome, the only feedback I have is that it is almost unreadable if you use Dark Mode. This is very nice extension thx Wowhead! Comment by smirks on T09:43:42-05:00 I was struggling a while to find out what's the purpose of this until I realized it's for streamers, but I think it's really cool, good job :) Comment by Bulo on T09:39:48-05:00 Maybe in future versions that could be improved ) Comment by MaXiiczek on T09:00:07-05:00 Question: Will it work for alpha/beta? Because if it does it's going to be amazing.Ĭurrently, it fetches the data for it from the API, so it only works for live servers.
LIVENOW TWITCH INSTALL
Hit the Install button and you'll receive a prompt that it automatically installed! Now you can configure your characters. Click on that and search for "Wowhead" in the large Search Box at the top right. From there you'll find a menu option for Extensions. When logged into Twitch, go to your Dashboard page. Mouse over any of the equipped gear icons to see its stats and item level. This will provide a detailed stat breakdown, appearance preview, and list of equipped gear.
